AZUL Beach Resort Riviera Cancun, Mexico

By Carrie Williams-Sponsored Content August 9, 2019

Just a few weeks ago, Macaroni Kid Pleasanton was able to visit Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancun.  This was my first experience staying at an all-inclusive resort, and I have to say it was fabulous!  Over the years writing for Macaroni Kid, I have had a chance to write reviews of really amazing places and this is simply one of the best.  More than many other vacations, this is a resort that specializes in treating the youngest of its guests like absolute royalty.

With the Karisma Gourmet Inclusive Experience, it includes all of the amenities you would need as a family.  They are especially adept with young families, with things like strollers, pack ‘n plays, a toy lending menu and even organic baby food (for those who prefer Gerber, it is always available as well too!).  Furthermore, natural baby food can also be prepared by request.  For those who have toddlers, there is a special playhouse club, with a ton of special activities for both the day and evening that will keep your kids making friends and having an amazing time.  And for the ever challenging needs of teens, they have it covered too.  With music, movies, Xboxes, billiard tables, air hockey a rock climbing wall and volleyball it’ll make sure that they’re enjoying themselves as well.

But one of the things that I was blown away with was their swim-up suites.  You literally walk out of your room and into the pool!  There are chairs there for you on your personal patio and easy staircase straight into the cool blue water.  I loved this!  There are actually six total pools here, with one of them for adults only (when you just need a bit of quiet time away from the kids) to really soak up the amenities of this resort.

Last, but certainly not least, was their food.  As an all-inclusive resort, it comes with five authentically-prepared gourmet cuisine restaurants to choose from.  There are other resorts out there where you can visit the buffet and really hit the quantity, but this resort really focuses on the experience and the quality.  These five restaurants feature Italian, Caribbean, Spanish, Mexican and World cuisine sure to wow your taste buds!  At the Mexican restaurant, there was a live Mariachi band and a Tequila bar.  Yes, that’s me there with the Mariachi’s hat on!  I loved the decor here, especially all of the sombreros on the ceiling.  The staff here was super attentive and always on hand to make sure that whatever your needs are they’re there to serve.

There is so much to do at the resort that there is no reason to leave.  There are daily beach activities like kayaking and you can go snorkeling.  You can also make a long excursion and go see the Mayan ruins.

Altogether, there is so much amazing culture, food, and amenities available at Azul that I just can’t wait to go back.  No sooner than I got home I’ve already started making plans to take my whole family.
