Pans on Fire Summer Cooking Camps enrolling now for Juniors and Teens!

By Carrie Williams-Sponsored Content April 11, 2019

A passion for cooking isn’t limited to adults these days.

Children of all ages watch the Food Network and MasterChef Junior and follow their favorite TV chefs in print and social media. But we at Pans on Fire think that learning by doing is a far better way to develop culinary skills.

Pans on Fire’s cooking classes for kids are designed for both teens (6th-12th grade) and juniors (2nd-5th grade) and they combine education, instruction, and enjoyment.  Single-day and multi-day sessions (3 to 4 hours each) provide a hands-on opportunity for children to explore new foods, become more aware of nutrition and develop self-confidence in the kitchen.

We've been cooking up summer camps for 13 years!
Whether it’s taking a “Road Trip” to investigate American, Italian, French or European regional cuisine or how to construct a true showstopper in the advanced Great British Baking program, kids leave with a greater understanding and appreciation of what it takes to cook and bake well.  Every day, campers make a meal in class and In multi-day camps, they prepare a meal from scratch for a parent/guardian as part of a celebratory lunch where they receive a Certificate of Completion and their recipe booklet.

In addition, Pans on Fire offers kids programs during school breaks and occasional parent/child classes--a great shared cooking experience that strengthens family bonds (see our calendar for upcoming classes).

Food just tastes better when everyone joins in the cooking so here’s a great way to get your child engaged in a family meal-time activity.
